BBQ, YUM!
Neighborhood Pool Party & BBQ
Event Date: Saturday July 16, 2011
Event Time: 11am – 3pm
Bring your appetite and bathing suits for some summer fun at the Pool! HOA Board members will be grilling up some burgers and hot dogs and will also provide the chips and drinks. We would like to encourage everyone to bring your favorite dessert to share. This is a great opportunity for you to meet
your neighbors and make some new friends. We will have all of the food set up close to the play area so bring out your folding chairs if you just want to relax and enjoy the food and company or bring out your pool toys and have some fun in the sun!

The HOA has invested in some additional security at the pool which will impact all residents when the pool opens in the spring.
1. After the pool closed for winter, a new card based access system was installed on the gate. Instead of entering a code on the door, each home will be issued electronic access cards which will open the gate simply by waving them over the card reader on the gate. This will help us better control access, reducing use by non-residents, and letting us know who was using the pool if anything is damaged. Residents must be current on their dues to receive access cards, and cards will be distributed before the pool opens in the Spring.
2. In addition to the access system, 3 remotely monitored and motion-activated cameras have been installed around the pavilion to monitor the pool and playground areas. Our hope is that this will discourage vandalism and unauthorized after-hours use.
3. Lastly, we have extended the height of the western pool fence to discourage fence-hopping.

Mark your calendars now for the evening of August 8 (the original August 1 date was postponed for weather) for a neighborhood block party to be held in the pool parking lot. We’ll be getting started at about 4pm, and will be grilling burgers and hot dogs. We’ll also be providing drinks, music, and treats for the kids. Bring a side dish or desert, or don’t, we don’t really care so long as you come.
We do recommend bringing folding chairs and swimsuits! We’d also like volunteers for any of the following items: A boombox/radio, portable pavilion, trash & recycle bins, and pool toys. If you can provide any of these items please email Jac at jcrespo@principal-mgmt.com.
If you have any questions or suggestions you can email Jac or Cheryl Kirven.
